About Me

I am a military wife, dog mom, yoga instructor and cosmetology apprentice trying to find my path in life. Currently I'm productively wasting time until I can figure out life. Here you will find how I'm wasting that time, eating gluten free, constantly moving and standing on my head.

I'm Sorry…………...

i seem to have neglected my blog. first, it was because i didn't think anyone but my husband (luv u) would read it. i was wrong. second, was because i couldn't find any content that hadn't already been re-blogged about a million times and had nothing original. third, i haven't done laundry since September. i'm sure the excuses could keep adding up if i wanted. i'm ready to move on and start over.

thank you to those of you that read my thoughts. i'm looking to you. my blog needs more of a focus. food? fashion? travel? let me know your thoughts about the things you would most love to read about. my life is slightly at a stand still and could use a turn in a positive direction.

since i've been in the dumps and kinda busy I tend to eat lots of sweets. every time i go to yoga i think i eat at least 2 cupcakes to balance it out :) so on that note here is the praline pumpkin cheesecake i am drooling over today. i don't have a reason to make it until Thanksgiving. if you get a chance to make it before me please let me know how it goes!

here's to getting back on track!

Pimp My Life?

Yes please!

IKEA has started this phenomenal contest that allows you to take a year long sabbatical and provides you with $100,000 to improve the lives of others! Can't wait to see the ideas people have.

If you don't have a life changing idea but need some life changing yourself, IKEA is also offering in store seminars all over the country as part of the project. They all have a different life focus and are sponsored by great magazines like Family Circle, The Knot, O, The Oprah Magazine, Sunset (my personal favorite for out West), Brides, This Old House, Redbook and Ready Made.

My favorite seminar? Life Improvement: Instructions Included sponsored by O, The Oprah Magazine. This seminar promises to teach you how to improve you life by improving your living space. If I lived anywhere near an IKEA I would hit this one up just to find out how the positioning of my sofa can make me millions! Is this your secret Oprah?!

Happy Friday!

I'm off to think about my life improvement project……...

I have to start somewhere.....

I have been sitting, staring at this blog for months. Trying to figure out a theme, a purpose and how to make it great. I'm over it. I'm going to start with those things I have found amusing lately and cruise on from there. Enjoy.

Today I got the biggest laugh out of these.

If you have spent any time lately with children under the age of 18, you have heard of Silly Bandz. They are soo simple you wish you would have invented them. Finally, someone has made the adult version! Just don't wear them around the kiddos because they always ask you what shape you have on. Missionary might not make sense to them.
